Description

You will be the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the Integrated Fires Protection Capability 2 (IFPC

What You Will Be Doing

As the IPT Lead you will spearhead a multidisciplinary engineering team—electrical, mechanical, structures, lethality, propulsion, thermal, materials, processes and environments—to deliver a complete, affordable, and producible interceptor solution. You will balance customer requirements with cost and schedule constraints, coordinate closely with the IFPC 2 Magazine team and exercise full authority over the interceptor team’s budget and schedule.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing overall technical direction and leadership for the interceptor design, development and test effort.
  • Managing the multidisciplinary IPT, aligning electrical, mechanical, structures, lethality, propulsion, thermal, materials, processes and environments engineering activities.
  • Collaborating with performance and systems engineers, production, quality assurance, test operations and the global supply chain to ensure a coherent customer solution.
  • Balancing customer requirements with affordability and producibility goals, driving trade studies and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Coordinating closely with the IFPC 2 Magazine team on AUR M production integration and schedule alignment.
  • Owning the interceptor program’s budget, schedule and resource allocation, and reporting status to senior leadership.
  • Leading risk identification, mitigation planning and issue resolution processes across the IPT.
  • Conducting design review and verification milestones (PDR, CDR, Test Readiness Reviews) and ensuring compliance with all program requirements.
  • Managing configuration control, documentation and technical data packages in accordance with Lockheed Martin standards.
  • Mentoring engineers across disciplines, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture and promoting professional development.
  • Supporting occasional travel to supplier sites, test facilities or customer locations as required to meet program milestones.
