Description

You will be the Electrical Engineering Principal – Seeker & Radar Simulation for the Missile Fire Control (MFC) Seeker Integration team. Our team delivers high performance seeker and radar subsystems for advanced missile programs, managing real time hardware in the loop (HITL) simulation and stimulation to validate flight critical electronics.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electrical Engineering Principal you will be responsible for architecting, implementing and validating seeker technology hardware and FPGA based DRFM solutions that enable realistic radar system simulation. You will guide cross functional teams through HITL test campaigns, ensuring compliance with MFC design processes and facility requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading integration of missile borne radar seekers, including hardware in the loop (HITL) simulation and stimulation using the ACTSII facility.
  • Designing, developing and validating FPGA based DRFM (Digital Radio Frequency Memory) implementations for radar signal generation and capture.
  • Creating and maintaining real time simulation models, stimulus waveforms and verification test plans for Ka band and other radar bands.
  • Coordinating with systems, RF, software, test and manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless integration of seeker hardware into missile prototypes.
  • Managing configuration control, design documentation and compliance with MFC hardware development procedures and quality standards.
  • Conducting design review and verification activities (PDR, CDR, test readiness reviews) and reporting status to program leadership.
  • Providing technical mentorship to junior engineers and promoting best practices in FPGA development, DRFM firmware and real time simulation.
  • Supporting facility operations, including preparation of test setups, calibration of instrumentation and troubleshooting of simulation anomalies.
  • Maintaining security compliance and obtaining/maintaining a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications
  • 25+ years experience in electrical systems design and system integration.
  • 15+ years Hardware in the loop or System Integration Lab Experience.
  • Degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent Math, Science, or engineering and technology.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
