Position Overview The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring product and process quality across our manufacturing operations while supporting the integration of human factors principles into our safety and quality programs. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to human performance, error management, and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of an area of the workshop including management of Quality KPI's for that area. Collecting and displaying relevant data to the workshop in a useable format to support Quality improvement needs.
  • Leading a ritual meeting with cross functional participation to communicate status and potential actions. Integrate human factors principles into quality assurance, safety investigations, and process reviews.
  • Support manufacturing documentation reviews. Participate in risk reviews during industrial change launch.
  • Support and participate in PFMEA reviews with Engineering.
  • Participate in internal and external audits. Ability to pilot specific actions from audit findings in a timely manner.
  • Conduct Gemba walks (in applicable area).
  • Conduct product / process audits and able to detect anomalies.
  • Participate in the analysis of anomalies detected and support improvement initiatives.
  • Full understanding of how to manage non-conformity treatment on the shop floor in order to train Technicians in their daily role.
  • Assist Technicians on difficult or non-standard issues.
  • Understand the technical standards and know the appropriate interfaces to assist in disposition of non-conformities.
  • Able to understand and use RCCA tools (Ishikawa, 5 why's, 8D's).
  • Lead multi-functional teams to effectively determine root causes and deploy effective corrective action plans to put in place permanent solutions to problems.
  • Document and update problem solving database to ensure clear and timely closure of actions.
  • Provide expertise in error prevention, risk analysis, and safety case development to enhance the Safety Management System.
  • Support and communicate the culture of continuous improvement, lean, 5S, and Stop at First Defect Quality Culture.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Four-year technical degree in Engineering, Quality, Human Factors, or related field. In lieu of a technical degree, a combination of Military & Experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of industrial change processes (PPAP).
  • Must be a US Person.
Knowledge /

Skills Required:
  • FAA Part 145 MRO Experience
  • Knowledge of Human Factors engineering, ergonomics, or safety management.
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, AS9100, etc.).
  • Proven ability to lead root cause investigations and implement robust corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and team collaboration skills.
  • Certification in Human Factors, Quality Engineering, or Six Sigma is a plus.
