About the Role
This role supports advanced defense systems by ensuring the quality and reliability of Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-Mechanical (EEE) components used in complex hardware. The position focuses on transitioning products from development to production while maintaining high standards of quality, manufacturability, and compliance with technical specifications. You will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve component-level issues and maintain production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate design assurance activities related to electrical and electronic components.
- Evaluate product transition readiness from development to production.
- Apply production process methodologies to maintain product quality and flow.
- Perform electrical component failure analysis and drive corrective actions.
- Interpret and analyze technical data, drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Develop and implement quality tests, inspection methods, and process controls.
- Troubleshoot complex process or component-related issues across various assembly levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality and manufacturing challenges.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications and quality databases to document and track performance metrics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing and quality engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in electrical component failure analysis.
- Hands-on understanding of microelectronics fabrication and test processes.
- Ability to develop quality test and inspection methodologies.
- Strong interpretation skills for drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Proven problem-solving skills using root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Ability to resolve complex manufacturing or process issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Access.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of MIL standards: 202, 883, 750.
- Familiarity with MIL-PRF standards: 38534, 38535, 19500, 55342.
- Experience with components such as ICs, discrete semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, inductors, PWBs, and PWB assembly.
- Understanding of audit techniques.
- Lean/Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), ASQ CQE, or CQIA certification.
- SAP Quality modules experience (e.g., QNOTES).
- Advanced AS9100 knowledge.
- Experience with PDP, MRB, machine shop or electronics manufacturing inspection.
- PPAP experience.
