Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is looking for an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager to lead a technical team, support department initiatives and drive technical excellence, affordability and program execution.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Manage and develop the Engineering & Technology team.
- Provide technical coaching and mentoring, assign work, support employee career development, and advocate for staff in opportunity discussions.
- Plan, conduct and coordinate software development activities.
- Coordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions and engineering competency development.
- Support program development and execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promote customer focus, and serve as the technical conscience for the program.
Possible travel may be required to both customer and supplier sites, inside or outside the Continental United States (CONUS).
Basic Qualifications- Must currently hold an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science (or a related field with significant software development experience).
- Experience with embedded development using a real‑time operating system.
- Experience managing complex technical embedded software systems/programs.
- Process improvement and affordability experience.
- Software engineering management or team‑lead experience, including task planning, budget management, subcontract management, and/or employee development and mentoring.
- Strong software architecture and design experience.
- Experience with C/C++/Ada.
- Linux and VxWorks experience.
- Dev Sec Ops experience (CI/CD, Git/Gitlab).
- Agile development experience (Scrum/Kanban).
- Ability to collaborate with multi‑functional teams.
- Basis of Estimate (BOE) development.
- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience.
- Approval to work on Special Access Program (SAP) prior to employment start.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience, including Agile EVMS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior engineering management experience.
- Proposal development experience.
- Strong business acumen, management influence, and whole‑systems thinking.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold a Secret clearance with an investigation or CV date within the last five years.
