GNC Engineer - Dallas, TX

We are seeking an experienced Guidance and Control (GNC) Engineer to support missile system and fire control system design, development, integration, and test at Lockheed Martin.

• Design, develop, and deploy embedded algorithms for inertial tracking, navigation, and sensor fusion.
• Develop, verify, and validate models and simulations, including matched filters and convolutional neural networks, to detect targets.
• Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and verify subsystem requirements.
• Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities for ground and flight test efforts, including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL).
• Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and external customers.
• Collaborate with small teams across multiple programs at varying stages of product development.

• BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related STEM field plus 1+ years of relevant experience.
• United States citizenship required; interim Secret clearance required at the start.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and briefing customers.
• Familiarity with software development environments (e.g., Git) and programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, FORTRAN, or Ada.
• Experience with simulation and test environments (6‑DOF inertial flight simulators, HWIL, flight test).
• Solid foundation in linear algebra, dynamics, coordinate‑frame transformations, and state‑estimation techniques.

• Linux‑based operating system experience.
• Knowledge of linear algebra, probability and statistics, state‑dynamic equations, Kalman filters, kinematics, and rotating coordinate systems.
• Hands‑on integration and testing of hardware and software in HWIL.
• Prior flight‑test support experience.
• Willingness to travel up to two weeks for flight‑test support at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.
• Active Secret clearance.
