You will be the Industrial Engineering Associate Manager for Lockheed Martin's Missiles & Fire Control Industrial Engineering team.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Industrial Engineering Associate Manager you will be responsible for managing a team of industrial engineers in various activities aimed at improving manufacturing performance. This involves implementation of cost step-down strategies, span improvement, conducting capacity assessments, efficiency calculations, trend analysis, work standard measurements, production simulation & modeling, and production floor layout optimization. The selected candidate will be a balanced leader, with a strong technical background in data analytics and manufacturing or production experience, while also demonstrating soft skills for managing a team with a variety of experience levels.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

* Mentor, coach, and develop the shop floor industrial engineering team; identify skill gaps and create training plans.

* Lead time‑studies, work‑measurement, line balancing, and facility‑layout redesigns to improve flow and reduce waste.

* Facilitate regular capacity analyses for the site and for program‑specific requests, coordinating the team's data collection, modeling, and reporting to ensure timely, accurate capacity forecasts.

* Lead continuous-improvement initiatives that reduce waste in HPU and span to increase overall site productivity.

Clearance Requirements

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

* Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment

* Experience working with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

* Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.

Desired

Skills:

* Master's degree in a related discipline.

* Experience leading or supervising Industrial/Manufacturing Engineers.

* Knowledge of Lockheed Martin manufacturing systems and processes.

* Experience in industrial engineering principles, including facility layout, capacity analysis, simulation modeling, and process optimization

* Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement tools;
Green belt or higher certification

* Experience with implementing technical solutions (simulations, dashboards, robotics, automation, etc.) in manufacturing.

* Proven ability to balance technical expertise with effective leadership and soft skills to manage a diverse team.
