Job Overview

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of four Lockheed Martin business areas. IAMD-AP is seeking an Electronic Warfare (EW) RF Payload Design Engineer to support advanced EW decoy system development.
Responsibilities- Drive RF architecture, design, integration, test, and verification for EW payloads that must operate in hostile, spectrum congested environments while supporting tactical Link 16, M code GPS, and navy blue force requirements.
- Operate as a player/coach, coordinating technical design activities among suppliers while performing RF performance analysis and architecture design.
- Perform antenna design to match selected receivers, conduct fast‑paced trade studies, allocate RF requirements to RF subsystems, oversee RF circuit card design, verify RF hardware, optimize link analysis and propagation effects, support supplier selection and acceptance testing, and assist integration and test for rapid development.
- BS in STEM degree and 3+ years of relevant experience OR MS in STEM and 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Electronic Warfare (EW) RF design and development experience.
- Communication, radar, or similar waveform design experience.
- Digital signal processing experience.
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance; must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Cross‑Business Area engagement experience.
- M code (military GPS) or similar integration/design experience.
- Link‑16 or similar tactical radio integration/design experience.
- Familiarity with E³ (design, test, verification) processes.
- Antenna design, measurement, and evaluation capabilities.
- Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV), missile, or similar design, integration, or flight test experience.
- EW or radar system design, integration, or flight test experience.
- Flight test and/or HWIL (hardware in the loop) experience.
- Telemetry or similar data link budget analysis.
- Antenna design requirements & specifications.
- EMI/EMC knowledge and mitigation techniques.
- Tactical radio integration experience.
- U.S. Navy customer or product experience.
- Supplier technical oversight and management experience.
- Strong communication with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and meet aggressive schedules.
- Self starter; effective “player/coach” with minimal supervision.
This position requires a government security clearance and must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.
Work ScheduleSchedule:
4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Part‑time remote telework is possible.
