Overview
Your role:
Quality Engineer Senior for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) in Grand Prairie, Texas. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured, repaired, and procured products meets or exceeds design and process requirements.
- Provide quality engineering expertise to support the program’s quality objectives.
- Develop and review quality standards, methods, and procedures.
- Analyze and resolve process issues; collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes.
- Analyze quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non‑conformance aging.
- Lead program parts review and corrective action meetings.
- Perform assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Evaluate design assurance activities and production process methodology.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality‑related issues.
- Utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s level degree or higher in STEM and/or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Generally 3+ years of related mechanical or electrical quality engineering experience.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Root cause and corrective action investigation using causal analysis tools.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint. - Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.
- Hands‑on experience inspecting hardware and rework/repair of hardware.
- Effective written, oral, listening, and technical communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills including team building and collaboration.
- Demonstrated presentation skills.
- Experience in disposition of non‑conforming products.
- ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt).
- Experience using manufacturing, inspection gauges or measuring equipment.
- Experience working with Government customers and suppliers in a sustainment environment.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. Position requires a secret clearance and the ability to obtain this clearance.
Work schedule:
4x10 hour days, 3 days off per week. Onsite full‑time at a Lockheed Martin facility.
