LocationThis position is in Dallas, Texas.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy embedded algorithms for inertial tracking, inertial navigation, and/or sensor fusion.
- Develop, verify, and validate complex models and simulations that utilize match filters, convolutional neural networks, and other techniques to detect targets of interest.
- Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements.
- Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities that support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HWIL) activities.
- Join small teams of engineers and algorithm developers on various programs at different stages of product development.
- Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers.
- BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Secret Clearance required; must be a US citizen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Experience leading technical multidisciplinary teams and briefing and interfacing with customers.
- Prior experience with Patriot Advanced Capability‑3 (PAC‑3)/IAMD modeling.
- Proficiency in software development environments like Git using programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, FORTRAN, or Ada.
- Experience with different simulation and test environments (6‑DOF IFS, HWIL, flight test experience, etc.).
- Solid foundation in linear algebra, dynamics, coordinate frame transformations, and state estimation techniques.
- Experience using a Linux‑based operating system.
- Familiarity with linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics and rotating coordinate systems.
- Experience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HWIL).
- Prior experience supporting flight tests.
- Ability to occasionally travel up to two weeks at a time to White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico to support flight tests.
- Experience in air and missile defense development and testing.
