Flight Termination System (FTS) Engineer
Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control seeks an experienced engineer to support design, missile integration, and flight tests for an advanced program in Grand Prairie, Texas.
LocationGrand Prairie, Texas;
Dallas office. Domestic travel 10% required.
- Lead the full lifecycle of development from initial requirements definition, component design, integration, flight test, and production.
- Perform component electrical design, software/firmware development, and system integration.
- Integrate with telemetry components as needed.
- Coordinate with internal/external customers and Range Safety Officers (RSO).
- Collaborate on a cross-functional team and maintain strong troubleshooting expertise.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years professional experience, or a Master’s degree in a related discipline.
- Strong electronic systems design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with standard Test Equipment, including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.
- Effective communication skills.
- Domestic travel 10% required.
- Active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Experience with Flight Termination System (FTS) subsystem design, integration, and testing.
- Familiarity with telemetry system design and integration.
- Strong presentation skills capable of briefing audiences with varying technical knowledge.
- Supplier management experience, including Statement of Work (SOW) generation and technical oversight.
- Ability to build consensus among peers and develop solid relationships with team members.
- Cross-discipline systems engineering practices, including requirements development/maintenance, architecture, test equipment hardware/software design, integration, and verification.
Active Secret clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.
