Program Quality Engineer – ATACMS Team

Lockheed Martin seeks a motivated Program Quality Engineer to support the ATACMS team in ensuring quality, cost, and schedule targets are met. The role involves leading quality engineering initiatives, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing and supplier supply chains.

• Utilize quality engineering methods to evaluate and initiate actions to reduce sources of variation that affect quality, cost, and schedule.
• Lead and support root cause, corrective, and preventive action investigations, decisions, and validations.
• Assist management, staff, vendors, suppliers, customers, and partners to ensure compliance with customer contractual requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Execute quality organization initiatives and support return‑to‑green plans for key quality metrics.
• Interface with Production, Shop Floor Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and customers.
• Support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) investigations.
• Track and support First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Oversee requirements implementation for assigned suppliers.
• Provide local customer interface.
• Travel may be required.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Problem‑solving skills.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance.
• Ability to work an evolving shift schedule that includes weekend and off‑shift hours as needed.
• Experience in manufacturing or quality engineering positions.
• Knowledge of quality systems and processes in production and/or procurement.
• Experience with non‑conformance handling and disposition.
• Certification in Lean, Six‑Sigma, or root cause corrective action training.
• Knowledge of SAP operating systems, Automation Framework, EPDM, P2P, and Apriso.
• At least 1 year of related quality engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Requires U.S. citizenship. Must obtain an interim Secret clearance prior to start.
