What You Will Be Doing
- Design, develop, and deploy embedded algorithms that perform inertial tracking, inertial navigation and/or sensor fusion
- Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations that utilize match filters, convolutional neural networks, and other such techniques to detect targets of interest.
- Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
- Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities that support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities
- Opportunities will exist to join small teams of engineers and algorithm developers on a variety of different programs that are in various stages of product development
- Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers

Basic Qualifications- BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree.
- Interim Secret Clearance is needed to start, therefore you must be a US Citizen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Prior experience with Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3)/IAMD modeling.
- Proficiency in SW development environments like Git using programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, FORTRAN, or Ada.
- Experience with different simulation and test environments (6-DOF IFS, HWIL, flight test experience, etc.)
- Solid foundation in linear algebra, dynamics, coordinate frame transformations, and state estimation techniques.
- Experience using a Linux-based operating system.
- Familiarity with some, or all, of the following: linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics and rotating coordinate systems.
- Experience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL).
- Prior experience supporting flight tests.
- Ability to occasionally travel for up to two weeks at a time to White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico to support flight tests. Experience in air and missile defense, development, and testing is required.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Location and ScheduleOnsite full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
