Description
You will be the Tool Design Engineer – Senior (Level
3) for the Tool Design team. Our team is responsible for designing and developing custom tools and equipment used to manufacture missiles and missile systems.
As the Tool Design Engineer Senior you will be responsible for creating innovative tooling solutions that enable high‑performance missile production.
- Design, develop, and implement industrial tooling and equipment using 3D CAD (Creo).
- Create detailed technical drawing packages and 3D models for dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and machine attachments.
- Evaluate safety, accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements during design.
- Review defective tooling, determine rework solutions, and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with tooling operations, production, program engineers, and fellow designers.
- Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Proficient in the use of CAD Software (Creo, Solid Works, Catia, etc.).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, product specifications, and other technical data.
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
- Candidate must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of tool concept and design.
- Some experience with GD&T.
- Experience with tooling and tool fabrication.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CREO/Pro E experience.
- Skilled with GD&T.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret
LocationThis position is in Dallas.
Work ScheduleSchedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
