Quality Engineer - Grand Prairie, TX

You will be the Quality Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) in Grand Prairie, Texas. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured, repaired, and procured products meet or exceed design and process requirements.

• Providing quality engineering expertise to support the program's quality objectives, leveraging experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, and procedures.
• Analyzing and resolving process issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality products are delivered to customers.
• Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes.
• Analyzing quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging.
• Leading program parts review and corrective action meetings.
• Performing assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Evaluating design assurance activities and production process methodology.
• Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues.
• Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.

This position is located in Dallas, Texas. The work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

• Bachelor’s level degree or higher in STEM.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Prior mechanical or electrical quality engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures for inspection of manufactured and procured products.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test, inspection methods, and work instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools.
• Experience in disposition of non-conforming products.
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications:
  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

• Hands‑on experience dealing with inspection of hardware and rework/repair of hardware.
• Effective communication skills, written, oral, listening, technical writing.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
• Demonstrated presentation skills.

This position requires a government security clearance. The selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. The schedule for this position is 4x10 hour days, with 3 days off per week.
