Overview

Responsibilities- Design and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architecture
- Develop, verify, and validate complex models and simulations such as missile 6‑degree‑of‑freedom (6‑DOF) and effects‑based simulations
- Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
- Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities
- Support ground and flight test efforts, including Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HWIL) activities
- Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and external customers
- BS degree or higher in computer science, physics, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field
- Interim clearance required; applicant must be a U.S. citizen
- Foundational proficiency in C++
- Intermediate proficiency in Matlab or Python
- Experience or coursework in guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, servo control algorithms, and vehicle simulation (e.g., missile 6‑DOF)
- Strong math skills in linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations
- Willingness to work onsite in a classified area or laboratory environment
- Experience operating in Linux environments
- Experience with Agile development processes
- Ability to perform pre‑flight system performance assessment and post‑flight verification analyses
- Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real‑time performance requirements
- Experience with Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Secret level with investigation or CV date within 5 years. A government security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
