Geotechnical Engineering Technician
Location:
Georgetown, Delaware.
Construction monitoring and testing of soil, concrete, and other materials. Participate in field activities, collect samples, use measuring equipment, report findings, and support project teams in ensuring quality and compliance. This position is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate with interests in geology, civil engineering, and construction.
Physical demands:
May require standing for extended durations and repetitive motions such as lifting or hammering. Ability to use hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit, see and smell, including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus. Regularly lift and/or move 60 pounds; occasionally move 80 pounds or more.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- B.S. in Geology, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science (preferred but not required)
- Engineering Technician experience and certificates such as NICET, ACI, WACEL are a plus
- Own a reliable vehicle and have a good driving record
- Enjoy working outdoors
- Ability to work alone as well as in a group
- Must provide personal protective equipment: high‑visibility vest, hard hat, gloves, and safety glasses provided by the company.
