Job Description
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Quality Inspector B to join our quality team in Columbus, MS. The role ensures compliance with company policies, FAA regulations, and AS9100 quality standards. The inspector approves incoming and shipping materials, performs detailed inspections of aircraft components, composite materials, blades, dynamic components, paint, and backshop activities to ensure specifications are met and non‑conformities are identified.
Responsibilities- Perform inspections of aircraft components, composite materials, blades, dynamic components, paint, and backshop activities.
- Use inspection tools, aids, and devices to determine tolerances and specification limits.
- Record quality inspection results and approve incoming and shipping materials.
- Identify non‑conformities and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Required:
Three (3) years as a Technician in aviation maintenance and/or manufacturing or equivalent related experience. - Preferred:
Two (2) years of quality experience in an aviation‑related field.
- Required:
Meet requirements of 14 CFR Part 65.101 and obtain a repairman certificate within 3 months of employment or possess a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License. - Preferred: FCC 2nd Class License.
- 5% Domestic and International travel.
- U.S. Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or other authorized person).
- None required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical and regulatory documentation.
- Familiarity with inspection tools, aids, and devices.
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills across multiple areas.
- Technical knowledge of Airbus Products/Programs.
- Knowledge of AS9100 Quality Standards.
- Onsite work; 100% onsite unless traveling.
- Vision, hearing, speaking, equipment operation, carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, sitting, squatting/kneeling, standing, walking, and personal protective equipment as required.
