PositionWe are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation of complex technical solutions to join our team in Grand Prairie, TX.
What You Will Be Doing- Design and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architecture
- Develop, verify, and validate complex models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations and effects-based simulations
- Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
- Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities
- Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop activities
- Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers
- Post‑secondary STEM degree with 1+ years of relevant experience
- Interim clearance needed to start this position
- Willing to work onsite in a classified area or lab environment
- Demonstrated experience in digital simulation development for infrared sensor systems
- Advanced proficiency in C++ and MATLAB or Python
- Strong math skills in linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations
- Strong written, verbal, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience operating in Linux environments
- Experience with Agile development
- Experience performing GNC assignments such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithms
- Experience developing and/or verifying/validating complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6‑DOF simulations
- Experience developing, verifying, and validating complex electro‑optical/infrared and/or radio‑frequency sensor models
- Ability to perform preflight system performance assessment and post‑flight verification analyses
- Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real‑time performance requirements
- Experience with Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US citizen for consideration. Clearance level:
Secret.
