Job Description
Electrical Engineer position at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) based in Dallas, Texas. The role supports engineers from other Lockheed Martin sites in failure investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action for PAC-3 missile electronics, and provides technical disposition and recommendations for production hardware.
What You Will Be DoingResponsibilities include:
- Working closely with engineering lead to provide technical oversight and monitor major subcontractors and related sub‑tier subcontractors.
- Ensuring timely resolution of technical issues related to PAC‑3 missile electronics to meet contractual delivery schedules.
- Providing engineering support to the Failure Review Board (FRB) and associated engineering evaluations.
- Reviewing supplier‑proposed engineering changes, presenting them to the LM Change board, and guiding them through the approval process.
- Representing LM in several Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in a collaborative IPT environment.
- Communicating with suppliers about hardware obsolescence and leading them in maintaining production levels.
- Driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution by supporting program development, executing program requirements, and adhering to engineering development processes.
- Traveling to Lockheed Martin production facilities, supplier facilities, and customer facilities as required.
- Performing some lab work on site at the Grand Prairie facility for hardware support.
- Experience troubleshooting Analog and Digital Electronics.
- Working knowledge of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college with at least 2 years of professional experience, or a related Master's degree.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time domestically.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
- DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- Prior experience with the PAC‑3 program, production processes, failure investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Knowledge of developing and reviewing suppliers’ BOEs.
- Certified or working knowledge of CAM.
- Experience working with suppliers and leading suppliers during failure investigation.
- Strong background in cross‑discipline systems engineering practices: requirements development, architecture, hardware/software design, integration, and verification.
- Knowledge or experience in risk management and earned value management.
The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance and may also hold a Top Secret clearance.
LocationDallas, Texas. The position may require travel to Lockheed Martin production facilities, supplier facilities, and customer sites. Some on‑site lab work at the Grand Prairie facility is required.
