Delta Group Electronics is seeking a Process Technician based at its Grand Prairie, Texas facility. This position assists in the development and implementation of production level processes and continuous improvement activities under the close supervision of the Manufacturing Engineer or Quality Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in monitoring, auditing and reporting of site process through use of metrics.
- Assist new and existing process development, implementation, and controls in support of Delta Group Electronics and customer specific needs at the site.
- Assist implementation of user group standards across the site and support user group projects on specific processes as required.
- Train individuals in various processes, required tools, and philosophies.
- Support DFM development on new and existing customer projects and RFQ's.
- Assist in manufacturing tool design and implementation.
- Support failure analysis.
- Assist in new customer product introductions.
- Assist in process qualifications and validations of both new and existing processes.
- Data collection duties may be assigned to aid in development and/or measure of production level processes.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two or three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Industry experience of 3–5 or more years is highly desirable.
- Experience with Surface Mount Technology and Selective Wave Solder process is highly preferred.
- Intermediate Electronic Assembly skills required.
- Thermal, Mechanical, and Materials Knowledge preferred.
- Intermediate Operational Knowledge preferred.
- Proficiency reading, writing, and speaking English to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Intermediate Decision Making and Problem Solving.
- Perform moderately complex computer tasks as assigned. Intermediate skills required.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Regularly required to walk and stand.
- Regularly required to use hands to reach, handle, or feel objects.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Regularly must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
- May work near moving mechanical parts.
- Noise level is usually at moderate levels.
