Description
You will be a Cyber Systems Security Engineer in the Program Protection Organization. Our organization oversees all aspects of Anti‑Tamper and embedded Cybersecurity across Missiles and Fire Control. We are chartered with providing the skills and innovative technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain secure products across our Lines of Business.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Cyber Systems Security Engineer you will be responsible for providing embedded System Security Engineering design and implementation in all aspects of the System Security Engineering (SSE) process during the development of Department of Defense (DoD) Weapon Systems.
- Assessing and mitigating System Security threats/risks throughout the embedded Weapon System development life cycle.
- Validating System Security Engineering requirements decomposition, allocation and analysis for embedded Weapon Systems.
- Implementing System Security Engineering solutions for hardware and software.
- Verifying implementation of system security requirements.
- Designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining state‑of‑the‑art System Security architectures and countermeasures to protect and enable innovative new Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control products.
- Analyzing weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and threats against System Security posture on product designs.
- Prototyping and testing System Security countermeasures that defend against cyber‑attacks on Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Weapon System products.
- Experience working within the DoD systems development life‑cycle (SDLC).
- Implementing System Security requirements on DoD systems to meet U.S. government compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting validation and verification of security requirements on DoD systems.
- Possess an approved DoD 8140 baseline certification for IAT/IAM Level II (CISSP, CAP, etc.) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of start date.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. A company‑sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.
- Experience in supporting Security Verification testing on developed DoD Weapon Systems.
- Experience developing embedded DoD National Security Systems (NSS) requiring Systems Security Engineering implementations.
- Design experience through the DoD systems development life‑cycle (SDLC) developing embedded system security solutions for DoD weapon or tactical systems.
- Tactical as well as strategic thinking and creative problem solving.
- Experience with embedded systems design.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience with embedded system vulnerability scanning and Software Assurance (SwA) activities.
- Strong understanding of System Security Engineering (SSE) principles and process (NIST SP 800‑161).
- Experience in the identification, decomposition, allocation and verification of NIST SP 800‑53 Security Controls on DoD systems.
- MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
- Candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance; the company must sponsor an interim secret to start.
