Development Quality Engineer

Job Overview

Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated self‑starter for a Quality Engineer Staff position located in Grand Prairie, TX. The role supports the RF Product Center Quality Engineering team during all phases of development and production.

• Develop and implement quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
• Represent the voice of quality throughout product development and production.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• STEM degree at bachelor's level or higher.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the secret level.
• Thorough understanding of quality principles in the aerospace industry.
• Experience in hardware quality engineering.
• Ability to review and approve standards, engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality procedures.
• Skilled at interpreting drawings, specifications, and requirements.
• Experience with control and disposition of non‑conforming material.
• Creative problem‑solving within Lockheed Martin and/or customer requirements.
• Experience performing root cause and corrective action activities using formal RCCA tools.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated presentation skills to cross‑functional teams.

• Supplier quality engineering experience.
• Experience with transition to production activities.
• Understanding of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Effective team building and collaboration skills.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. This position requires a government security clearance. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance and a company‑sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.
