Senior Manager, Engineering Operations, E&T Functional Labs; Dallas

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Technology Labs Senior Manager for the Grand Prairie location as part of the Engineering Operations Directorate. This E&T enterprise position requires a decisive leader capable of functional management and executive leadership of a growing team of engineers, engineering aides, and technicians who form the core operations and technical services group supporting over 200 engineering labs. The labs provide diverse fabrication, test, and analysis capabilities to support MFC internal programs across all major engineering disciplines.

• Provide direction, coaching and mentoring to Lab staff, managers, and establish overall lab operations and technical services policies.
• Communicate directly with lab staff via skip‑level meetings, walk‑around reviews, virtual tours, and all‑hands meetings.
• Identify skill, role and other staffing gaps, hire operations and technical staff, ensuring support to program is effective and timely.
• Coordinate annual Capital Request justifications with Finance and Engineering, setting priorities to replace aging equipment or add new capabilities.
• Assist in the development of department strategies and goals.
• Support the Engineering Operations Technology Labs Vision by harmonizing common operations, ensuring flexibility and data integrity, and accelerating digital transformation.
• Manage budgets and track spend plans with tactical precision and strategic planning, including Maintenance and Repair, Engineering Supplies, and Capital.
• Collaborate and communicate with Facilities, ESH, Quality, Finance, and Security on issues affecting Laboratory Operations, improving bottom‑line metrics.
• Coordinate and de‑conflict competing task priorities within the lab operations team.
• Determine and optimize business rhythm and stakeholder meetings to ensure efficient, high‑quality execution of lab operations and technical services.
• Work interactively with Human Resources Business Partners to champion team members for recognition, act on discipline issues, support initiatives, and recruit new hires.
• Assist personnel in interpreting corporate and MFC policy.
• Coordinate prioritization, execution, and improved material procurement processes for laboratory and site needs in accordance with policies.
• Recommend merit increases and promotions in accordance with employee performance assessment and company guidelines.
• Maintain relevant contacts within LM, industry, universities, and customer areas.

• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or technology program.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and superior interpersonal skills, with prior technical leadership experience.

• Current or prior working experience in the E&T Labs organization.
