Tool Engineer – Lockheed Martin – Grand Prairie, TX
Responsibilities- Design and develop industrial tooling and equipment used to manufacture offensive and defensive weapons systems.
- Design tooling such as dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype model production and machine attachments required for production or experimental use.
- Consider safety, accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements while designing.
- Use 3D CAD software (Creo) to create detailed 3D models and technical drawing packages.
- Review defective tooling and determine rework solutions.
- Provide input on manufacturing methods and process improvements.
Basic Requirements: 2 years of professional experience.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Proficiency in CAD Software (Creo, Solid Works, Catia, etc.).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, product specifications, and other technical data.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
- US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of tool concept and design.
- Experience with tooling and tool fabrication.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CREO/ProE experience.
- Familiarity with GD&T.
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes and procedures.
- Ability to collaborate within a multi-functional team.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Requires US citizenship and must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Work Schedule & LocationFull‑time, 4×10 hour day schedule with 3 days off per week. The position is fully on‑site, but part‑time remote telework may be available.
