Mechanical Design Engineer
Mechanical Review Board (MRB) Design Engineer 12 Month contract Onsite Grand Prairie, TX Pay: $60-$70 per hour Clearance:

As the Mechanical Review Board Design Engineer, you will be a vital part of a high-impact production team responsible for delivering key missile system components. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role where you will lead investigations, resolve production challenges, and drive corrective actions that keep programs on track. You will partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to assess non-conformances, determine root cause, and implement sustainable solutions—often under tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a core member of the Material Review Board (MRB), evaluating non-conforming hardware for performance and compliance impacts
- Lead root cause investigations and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Collaborate closely with Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve production issues
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and parts lists to assess technical concerns
- Drive cross-functional alignment on disposition decisions and corrective strategies
- Provide clear, concise updates to leadership in weekly status reviews
- Lead and communicate progress on investigative efforts across interdisciplinary teams
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (Engineering discipline preferred)
- Minimum 4 years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5, including tolerance stack analysis
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Creo design software
- Minimum 4 years of experience in root cause and corrective action methodologies
- Minimum 4 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Demonstrated ability to lead investigations and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to thrive in time-sensitive, high-visibility production environments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing programs
