Description: Lead Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3 Individual Contributor) for the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) ME team. Responsible for supporting all production activities for the GMLRS program, including line validation, supplier interaction, earned‑value management, and design‑for‑manufacturability reviews.
What You Will Be Doing- Manage day‑to‑day execution and closeout of assigned manufacturing‑engineering tasks.
- Gather relevant data and prepare concise briefs for Integrated Product Team (IPT) briefings.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support line validation and earned‑value management.
- Conduct design‑for‑manufacturability reviews and recommend improvements.
- Adjust program ME staffing to maintain continuous coverage of all program needs.
- Bachelor's degree in an associated Engineering discipline.
- Experience with Manufacturing/Assembly/Production processes.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Ability to travel domestic and/or international at least 30% of the time.
- Ability to interpret drawings, Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) models, product/performance specifications and other systems‑integration technical data.
- Ability to use MS Office tools (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and changing environment.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration and developing enduring business relationships.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.
- Experience in design for manufacturing / assembly or design to cost.
- Experience with leading.
- Experience working with customers.
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). - Lean/Six Sigma Yellow or Green certification.
- Knowledge of SAP and/or MRP production‑control system.
- Proven ability to improve cost, schedule, quality and/or safety.
This position requires a secret government security clearance and the candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
LocationDallas, Texas.
Work Schedule4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Part‑time remote telework is available; the schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
