Manufacturing Engineer Senior; Level 3

You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Senior (Level
3) for the Advanced Programs Manufacturing team. Our team is responsible for improving the producibility of early designs and creating manufacturing plans and processes as Advanced Programs transition to low‑rate initial production.

As the Manufacturing Engineer Senior you will ensure designs are producible, cost‑competitive, and ready for production.

• Evaluate designs and provide manufacturing feedback to improve producibility.
• Develop manufacturing‑readiness assessments and proposal packages.
• Perform make/buy determinations and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Production Operations, Program Management, and Engineering & Technology teams.
• Support fabrication of early‑development builds and present at design/manufacturing reviews.

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline (mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, chemical engineering, or equivalent).
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; an interim Secret clearance is required before start.
• Professional knowledge of electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production.
• Experience with product manufacturability (DFM), producibility, and design for cost (DFC).
• Experience with the design and manufacturing of complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience with electromechanical assembly, manufacturing tooling design, factory design, and factory flow.
• Shop floor Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience in program development with emphasis on cross‑functional collaboration and leadership.
• Statement of work and proposal development experience.
• Experience with Make‑Buy generation and strategy.
• Experience in designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining, and material handling.
• Knowledge/experience with Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL).
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen. A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.
