Guidance​/Navigation​/Control Engineer Stf - E4

Job Description *
* Designs, develops, implements, verifies and tests algorithms to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles and upper stages during powered and coast phases of flight, earth orbit, interplanetary cruise and orbital insertion, as well as during staging events. Navigation functions include the statistical processing of measured data points and their substitution into algorithms simulating physical reality. Guidance functions include the formulation of specific equations and control laws to achieve a desired position in space.

Control design and analyses processes consist of the development of the control requirements for aircraft, launch vehicles and/or spacecraft.

** Basic Qualifications*
* + BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.

+ Solid mathematical capabilities that include linear algebra, dynamics, coordinate frame transformations, and state estimation techniques

+

Experience with different simulation and test environments (6-DOF IFS, HWIL, flight test experience, etc.)

+ Proficiency in SW development environments like Git using programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, FORTRAN, or Ada.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

+ Secret Clearance is need to start, therefore you must be a US Citizen.

** Desired Skills*
* + Prior experience with Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3)/IAMD modeling.

+ Experience using a Linux-based operating system

+ Familiarity with some, or all, of the following: linear algebra, probability and statistics, state dynamic equations, Kalman filter applications, kinematics and rotating coordinate systems

+ Experience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL)

+ Prior experience supporting flight tests

* Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00
