Job Description *
* You will be the Electrical Engineer Senior for the Hardware Engineering team at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Our team delivers precision engagement aerospace and defense systems, designing, building and fielding the electrical hardware that powers missiles, sensors and other mission critical subsystems for the United States and allied militaries.
** What You Will Be Doing*
* As the Electrical Engineer Senior, you will support the design, development, integration, test, and production of electrical hardware and subsystems for defense programs. Your responsibilities may include:
- Serving as the primary technical contact for assigned subsystems or hardware deliverables across development and production phases
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to subsystem suppliers, ensuring contract requirements flow accurately and hardware meets specifications
- Owning the disposition of hardware through Material Review Board Engineer (MRBE) processes and supporting production lines
- Leading yield investigations, failure review boards, and root-cause analyses, driving corrective actions when anomalies arise
- Creating and iterating electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring harnesses, and interconnect designs for missile and weapon system subsystems
- Performing electrical testing, firmware/FPGA verification, and electromechanical packaging reviews to keep supplier deliveries on schedule
- Evaluating electrical/electronic production failures, performing root-cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions
- Leading weekly supplier meetings and communicating issues and status to program leadership, Lockheed Martin, and government customers
- Producing clear technical documentation on test failures, troubleshooting procedures, and compliance with engineering standards
- Assisting with technical proposals by providing content expertise and effort estimates
- Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative, inclusive team culture

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
** Basic Qualifications*
* - Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university;
Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience with electrical hardware design or a related discipline
- Experience in electrical hardware design for development and/or production phases in aerospace or a similar industry
- Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit card assemblies (CCA)
- Experience troubleshooting hardware like CCAs, harnesses, etc
- Strong hands-on skills with electrical/electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, DMMs, automated test equipment)
- Proven background providing production line support, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance
** Desired Skills*
* - Experience with MFC circuit card design processes and the Design Assurance process
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with Windchill or Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
