Secret-Cleared Test Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Test Engineer in Grand Prairie, Texas for an approximately 14-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support the design, integration, verification, and troubleshooting of hardware and software test systems used for missile and subsystem testing. The engineer will develop test equipment, interface test adapters, technical documentation, and test requirements while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline with 8–10 years of relevant experience, or master's degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Interim Secret or DoD Secret clearance required to start.
  • Strong analog and digital electronics troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience designing test equipment and interfacing with electronic test systems.
  • Interface Test Adapter (ITA) and cable design experience.
  • Experience with LabVIEW and Test Stand.
  • Familiarity with test software design and software debugging.
  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and AC/DC power distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of electronics testing methods and industry-standard test equipment.
  • Experience developing test requirements and validation test plans.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software configuration-management processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to develop and interpret schematics, block diagrams, flowcharts, and interface-control documentation.
  • Safety shoes are required.

What You'll Do

  • Design, update, integrate, and verify hardware and software for new and existing test systems.
  • Develop test equipment and Interface Test Adapters supporting missile and subsystem testing.
  • Troubleshoot complex analog, digital, hardware, and software problems.
  • Develop flowcharts, block diagrams, schematics, and interface-control documents.
  • Write test requirements, test-description documents, operating instructions, and installation procedures.
  • Support peer reviews, design assurance reviews, and pre/post verification readiness reviews.
  • Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations.
  • Work with systems engineering, technical leads, hardware SMEs, and design-assurance personnel to ensure test-system designs meet requirements and engineering standards.
  • Maintain hardware and software configuration control.
  • Track assigned work against program schedules and communicate progress, risks, and technical issues to program stakeholders.
  • Support integration, verification, and production test activities.
  • Travel occasionally to production, supplier, or customer facilities.

Pay

  • $92.07 per hour.
