We

are looking for a Spring 2027 (January
- May or August) Automation Project Manager Co-op as part of the Operations Leadership Development Program with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This position is based in Grand Prairie, Texas.

This co-op will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our two-year rotational Operations Leadership Development Program and other entry-level roles upon graduation.

You’ll make an impact by:
  • Supporting automation projects from planning through execution, delivering technical solutions that support manufacturing operations.
  • Defining project requirements, timelines, and deliverables while coordinating across engineering, IT, operations, vendors, and leadership.
  • Driving cross-functional alignment by identifying roadblocks, managing dependencies, and coordinating stakeholders to keep projects on track.
  • Leading project communication and documentation, including meetings, status updates, technical documentation, and system requirements.
  • Developing and improve project management processes in alignment with LEAN strategies and site priorities.
  • Supporting technology implementation and systems integration across automation, controls, robotics, manufacturing, and data systems.
  • Tracking project budgets, forecasts, and resources while supporting CAPEX, procurement, and business case activities.
  • Building technical and business knowledge through hands-on exposure to automation technologies, systems engineering, and project execution.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
  • Juniors, seniors, and graduate students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related majors
  • Must be enrolled as a student at the University of Texas Arlington at the time of the co-op
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis, reporting, and documentation
  • Basic knowledge or foundational understanding of industrial engineering tools and systems engineering
  • Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday
    - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm) from January 2027 to May 2027 or August 2027
  • Eligible candidates must have reliable transportation and be located within 50 miles of Grand Prairie, TX as this role does not provide housing or relocation support
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
  • This internship/co-op is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program who will continue their studies following the assignment.
