Our Electrical Products business unit in Smart Infrastructure develops low and medium-voltage technology and solutions for power systems.
Weare looking for a Spring 2027 (January – May or August) Factory Digitalization Engineering Co-op as part of the Operations Leadership Development Program with our Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products division. This position is based in Grand Prairie, Texas.
This co-op will prepare you for a potential opportunity with our two-year rotational Operations Leadership Development Program and other entry-level roles upon graduation.
You’llmake an impact by:- Developing and maintaining 3D digital assets and CAD models for manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and work cells.
- Supporting factory digital twin development by integrating digital assets into simulation and manufacturing environments.
- Developing and improving workflows that streamline equipment modeling, including digital scanning and parametric modeling.
- Collaborating with simulation and manufacturing engineering teams to support digital mockups and CAPEX projects.
- Defining and implementing PLM and digital integration workflows to standardize how assets are incorporated into factory digital twins.
- Testing and validating digital assets, integration methods, and defined requirements.
- Documenting and standardizing digitalization methods, requirements, and integration frameworks while maintaining the factory knowledge base.
- Supporting factory teams on digital modeling standards, integration requirements, and new digitalization methods.
Basic Qualifications
- Juniors, Seniors, and graduate students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Must be enrolled as a student at the University of Texas Arlington at the time of the co-op
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis, reporting, and documentation
- Basic proficiency with CAD/3D modeling
- Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm) from January 2027 to May 2027 or August 2027
- Eligible candidates must have reliable transportation and be located within 50 miles of Grand Prairie, TX as this role does not provide housing or relocation support
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- This internship/co-op is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career/ Leadership Development opportunities.
