Production Planning ERP Solution Architect
LocationsMobile, AL or Grand Prairie, TX
Role OverviewAct as the functional expert for ERP Solution deployment and adaptations for E2E Production Planning perimeter deployment and sustainment. Provide regional L3 resolution and lead ERP Core Solution global template deployment to support Airbus North America production planning requirements.
Responsibilities- All ERP Digital related activities for the Production Planning Product/Services (Master Production Schedule, Material Requirements Planning, Work Order Creation/Execution, and Production Activity Control) across Airbus North America business functions.
- Act as the Regional L3 Resolver embedded in the Group Global L3 team, offering technical and functional expertise for the Airbus ERP Core Solution.
- Lead deployment and stabilization of the ERP Core Solution global template, ensuring adaptation to regional production planning requirements.
- Promote and deploy state-of-the-art digital solutions in Production Planning aligned with the Airbus Operating Model and Standards.
- Overall accountability for performance, delivery, costs, and people management of the related product teams (Design / Build / Run). Manage multi-functional teams for the Digital Product/Application lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement of all products and services, focusing on digital continuity across production planning and execution flows to prevent system hand-off errors.
- Maintain a prioritized backlog agreed with business stakeholders and advocate for stakeholder needs.
- Roll-out Group Information Solutions and local adaptations, ensuring compliance with the global "Clean Core" standards and future-proofing for ERP upgrades.
- Ensure strategic vision alignment, manage projects in alignment with Airbus Core Solution and Digital Central, and lead deployment of the ERP Core Solution global template on Production Planning scope.
- Guarantee end-to-end service according to agreed SLAs as Regional L3 Resolver, liaising with business and IM teams in Europe for design, development, and support.
- Organize and plan deployment activities, including end-user training and incident logs.
- Manage digital team, oversee performance and employee development.
- Collaborate with IM Governance and other domains to identify opportunities in the IM Master Plan and manage budget performance.
- Collaborate with global Airbus Digital Operations solutions counterparts to develop and improve standards and ensure security compliance.
- Master's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent combination.
- 10+ years in application development and support within a manufacturing environment.
- 10+ years in project management within a manufacturing environment.
- 2-5 years in people management or equivalent project organization record.
- Experience in large-scale ERP transformation programs such as ARP, S4
HANA migration. - Understanding of Airbus IM standards, project and service methodologies.
- Preferred SAP MM/PP/DS/ME/IBP, SAP S4/HANA, MES, Analytics Solutions.
10% Domestic and International travel. Eligible for employment in the US.
Skills & Capabilities- Expertise in Production Planning areas:
Master Production Schedule (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Work Order Creation and Execution. - Proficiency in SAP S4
HANA, SAP PP/DS/IBP/MM/ME, Delmia Apriso, SAP MES and other advanced planning systems. - Experience leading UAT/BAT activities and managing cutover/EIS.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and comply with regulations such as U.S. Customs, ITAR.
- Strong communication, people management, and team building skills.
- English required;
French preferred.
