Job Overview: Siemens is looking for a Buyer to join our team at the Grand Prairie, Texas Breaker plant. The role ensures raw material availability for our fabrication area, meeting customer orders on time and cost‑effectively while improving raw material accuracy.
Responsibilities- Manage MRP via SAP and place Purchase Orders with internal and external vendors.
- Review SAP master data including minimum order quantities, safety stocks, lead times, purchasing info records and provide forecasting as needed.
- Ensure inventory targets, delivery reliability, and cost‑saving initiatives for the site.
- Resolve GRIR (good receipts/invoice receipts) discrepancies and handle late purchase order processing.
- Collaborate closely with production, planning, and customer service to fulfill customer requirements.
- Follow up with vendors for confirmation of shipment dates and pricing.
- BS/BA in a related discipline or advanced degree, with consideration given to experience equivalency.
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience with MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Advanced hands‑on knowledge of SAP.
- Certifications such as APICS CSCP and/or CPIM.
