You will be the Subcontract Manager for the Lower Tier Air & Missile Defense team. Our team drives the Evolutionary Development effort for Lockheed Martin's critical Air and Missile Defense programs, partnering directly with program managers, engineers, supplier quality, and subcontractor leadership to secure producible, cost‑effective solutions early in the design cycle.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Subcontract Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all subcontract activities that support a major corporate‑focus development effort. You'll serve as the primary liaison between Lockheed Martin and our lower‑tier suppliers, ensuring contracts are executed flawlessly, risks are mitigated, and delivery schedules are met.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing the full life cycle of subcontracts - drafting, negotiating, awarding, and closing out agreements.
* Conducting subcontract administration and procurement tasks, including purchase order creation, change order processing, and invoice reconciliation.
* Collaborating with program managers, engineers, and supplier quality to identify and resolve technical and schedule risks early in the design phase.
* Monitoring subcontractor performance against contract terms, milestones, and key performance indicators.
* Leading risk assessments, developing mitigation plans, and driving corrective actions when needed.
* Maintaining accurate records in the GSC system and ensuring compliance with corporate policies, FAR/DFARS, and export control regulations.
* Preparing status reports, dashboards, and executive briefings for senior leadership and customer stakeholders.
* Facilitating continuous improvement initiatives to enhance subcontracting processes and reduce cost, schedule, and quality variances.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
* Prior Supply Chain experience
* Must have the ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance
* Able to work effectively in a team environment
* Ability to travel when required; less than 25%
