The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of enclosures throughout the manufacturing process. This role ensures that all products meet internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements before they are approved for shipment or further assembly. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of inspection tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of metal or plastic enclosures at various stages of production.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Identify and document non-conformances; communicate findings to production and quality teams.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards.
- Collaborate with production staff to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
- Support internal and external audits by providing inspection data and documentation.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in quality or manufacturing preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and metal materials.
- Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required.
- May require standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional overtime or weekend shifts may be required based on production needs.
