Job Description

We are looking for a Dynamic Component Repair (DCR) Tech to join our Dynamic Component Repair team based in Grand Prairie, TX. Duties include performing assigned work in support of the Dynamic Component Shop.

Your challenges Overhaul 50%
  • Disassembly of components
  • Cleaning of aircraft parts
  • Reworks parts for the overhaul process
  • Inspects parts for continued airworthiness
  • Assembles parts for repair or overhaul
  • Inventory tool box daily
  • Reporting missing items
  • Verifying calibrations are current
  • Area clean of foreign objects
Uses Maintenance Manuals 20%
  • Refer to manuals (electronic or paper) to determine rework limitations, cleaning methods, disassembly processes.
FOD/Tool Control 30%
  • Inventory tool box daily
  • Reporting missing items
  • Verifying calibrations are current

Education
  • Required:

    High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred:
    Some trade school or technical training
Experience
  • Required:

    Minimum four (4) years of mechanical skill experience.
  • Preferred:

Licensure/Certification s
  • Required:

    None
  • Preferred: FAA Airframe Certificate or equivalent
Citizenship
  • Authorized to Work in the US
Physical Requirements
  • Onsite or remote: 90% Onsite
  • Vision: can read screens and documents daily
  • Hearing: can participate in conversations and hear alarms on production floor daily
  • Speaking: can speak in conversations and meetings daily
  • Equipment operation: can operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools, including hydraulic lifts daily
  • Carrying: can carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lb daily
  • Lifting: can lift objects up to 30lb daily
  • Pushing/Pulling: can push and pull small office furniture and equipment daily
  • Sitting: can sit for long periods in meetings or on computer daily
  • Squatting/Kneeling: can squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items on low shelving
  • Standing: can stand for discussions in offices or on production floor daily
  • Travel: can travel independently at short notice, possible once or twice a year
  • Walking: can walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces daily
  • Personal Protective Equipment: required PPE includes safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or gloves as required by site and customer site
  • Administrative position only PPE: steel‑toed shoes required for all shop floor visits; hearing/eye protection may also be required
