Mission

Description

Responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and expediting the repair of Safran Helicopter Engines USA (Pool) assets. Work with repair centers to identify production cost reduction opportunities and with customer support to reduce the overall cost of the repair; responsible for evaluating the technical documents and develops solutions to optimize the overall value of the Pool inventory; participates in the company TAT initiatives and meets the objectives for Pool team;

drives the customer satisfaction (internally with other departments and with operators repairing materials that will meet their needs).

Job Duties
  • Review customer's requests to define the appropriate way to support them.
  • Assist Asset Management Specialist with customized requests to meet customer's technical criteria and budget.
  • Validate the level of repair, scope of repair and associated repair center, considering cost optimization and engine availability.
  • Communicate with the Field Representative to review technical documents (FOW).
  • Coordinate repair of Pool materials with Safran Repair sites and subcontractors.
  • Analyze, challenge and approve shop work scopes and technical reports; confirm Pool Protocol and drive cost reduction objectives.
  • Arrange scrap reviews as necessary with the shop.
  • Optimize repair cost (e.g., repair to overhaul, overhaul to scrap), exchange of modules or use of repaired parts instead of new.
  • Use and maintain the internal Pool Cost Tool to support cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support company projects that monitor and follow Pool costs.
  • Prepare quote for CWB Pool assets.
  • Track and report repair costs when above objectives.
  • Minimize work scope revisions by anticipating decisions.
  • Facilitate and lead meetings with Safran repair shop and other teams to track progress and meet TAT goals.
  • Update Pool database to reflect engine status in stock.
  • Propose invoices to Front Office for missing parts or unusual wear.
  • Review inventory for applicable Service Bulletins and update Safran IT systems (CSA, OPX, TOOLS). Prepare work orders if needed.
  • Serve as focal point for technical purposes within Safran.
  • Back up CWB Coordinator.
  • Lead projects helping to reduce TAT or costs.
  • Lead initiatives to improve Pool team efficiency.
  • Propose improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with Corporate on implementation of containment related to Safran stock.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university or minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation mechanical, engineering or technical positions.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power

    BI) and advanced spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, charts/graphs, formulas).
  • Experience delivering results under pressure and making decisions.
  • Experience working across cultures and sensitivity to local issues.
  • Lean Six Sigma or project management certification an asset.
  • Ability to multitask, be autonomous and proactive.
Physical Requirements

Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach; frequently stand; occasionally walk, sit, talk or hear; regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds; close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus; occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; noise level usually quiet.
