position summary:

under minimal direction from a supervision and working within a cage or secured area, a controlled substance the warehouse trainer is responsible for training associates on the warehouse operations processes for scanning and sorting returned goods with a goal of helping them achieve a high level of accuracy and productivity while also following all safety protocols.

primary accountabilities:
  • conduct on-the-job training for associates responsible for processing returned goods in the facility
  • training should include, but is not limited to: scanning product codes to input data into company’s computerized system for processing
  • sorting scanned product into appropriate container locations
  • inspecting the condition of product
  • preparing product for disposition in accordance with the client’s contract terms
  • maintaining a clean and well-organized work area
  • answer questions and aid associates in meeting their daily production, accuracy, and safety goals
  • ensure associates have all tools necessary to complete their job responsibilities
  • ensure associates are provided with a safe, hazard free work environment
  • escalate issues or concerns to the production supervisor or team lead
  • follow all safety and facility operating procedures
additional responsibilities:
  • performs other duties as assigned
  • complies with all policies and standards
required qualifications:
  • high school diploma (or its equivalent) required
  • 1-3 years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position required
  • must be bi-lingual preferred (english and spanish)
  • good working knowledge of computers and other equipment used in processing product
  • ability to work under time pressure and meet production goals
  • ability to assist other operations within the warehouse, as needed and if applicable
  • ability to meet set production and quality goals and follow standard operating and safety procedures
  • ability to work with hazardous waste
  • ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • ability to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously, work efficiently, and meet deadlines in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions
