The OpportunityThe Buyer will play a critical role in supporting production continuity and supplier performance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This position requires someone who can step in and contribute immediately with minimal training. The ideal candidate understands manufacturing procurement, supplier coordination, and ERP-driven purchasing processes, particularly within Microsoft Dynamics.
This role is targeted toward someone with 2–5 years of experience — beyond entry level, but not overly senior — who is ready to take ownership and grow within a structured organization.
What You’ll Do- Execute purchasing activities for production materials and components
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics daily for procurement transactions, planning, and reporting
- Manage supplier relationships and maintain consistent vendor communication
- Monitor inventory levels and align purchasing decisions with production schedules
- Support cost control initiatives and supplier negotiations
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and operations
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure audit readiness
- 2–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience within manufacturing
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics (required)
- Experience in wire harnesses, cable assemblies, control panels, enclosures, or similar industrial manufacturing
- Background with a direct competitor or closely aligned contract manufacturer strongly preferred
- Ability to operate independently and contribute from Day 1
- Strong organizational and communication skills
