Operational Excellence Technician

PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for an Operational Excellence Technician to join our team onsite in Grand Prairie, TX. Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, you will implement Lean methodologies, contribute to operational efficiency, and help enhance manufacturing processes. • Foster positive, professional relationships across all levels.
• Develop work standards for productivity and line balancing.
• Increase machining processes for quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
• Implement manufacturing cost reductions for process improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering to design machines and tools and increase workflow.
• Manage projects for product improvement.
• Communicate Lean group philosophy, vision, and expectations; provide employee training on Lean concepts.
• Lead Lean events, including value stream mapping exercises for business improvement.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve service‑related issues.
• Align with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements; perform assigned tasks.

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering; or HS Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience related to lean manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Minimum of a Green Belt preferred.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing concepts and application preferred.
