Shift: 1st Shift 6am-2:30pm (Minimum 40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities, occasional evenings/weekends as needed)
Job Summary Stride Staffing is seeking a Quality Receiving Technician for a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Grand Prairie, Texas. This hourly, non-exempt position offers consistent hours, excellent overtime opportunities, and a chance to lead critical quality control operations. The role involves comprehensive inspections on purchased products, conducting First Article Inspections, and maintaining quality documentation, all while ensuring rigorous safety and compliance standards are met.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform First Article Inspections (FAI) and incoming testing on all new or revised materials and components.
Conduct incoming inspections on supplied products following documented procedures and inspection plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Material Review Board (MRB) activities and help determine the disposition of non-conforming products.
Evaluate, document, track, and approve supplier responses to Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).
Maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy records of all quality, inspection, and disposition documentation.
Analyze customer-returned products, accurately document findings, and track quality trends to support continuous improvement.
Utilize a wide range of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, force gauges, and indicators.
Authorize product "HOLD" statuses on suspect materials to prevent release until full resolution is achieved.
Requirements3-5 years of previous Quality Assurance experience, including hands‑on use of inspection equipment.
Experience working as a molding machine operator for one or more years is required.
Proficient computer skills and the ability to read internal and external blueprints/drawings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; must successfully complete training in Quality Systems, 5S Housekeeping, Safety, and Work Order workflows.
CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) experience is strongly preferred.
ASQ CMI (Certified Mechanical Inspector) or CQT (Certified Quality Technician) certification is a plus.
Dependable attendance and a commitment to working a minimum of 40 hours per week plus required overtime.
Physical DemandsModerately active role on the production floor involving regular walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular, daily basis.
Ability to work comfortably in a typical manufacturing environment where seasonal temperatures fluctuate and equipment noise is present.
Strict adherence to safety protocols, including wearing safety glasses, hearing protection, and necessary PPE.
