We are seeking an experienced 5-Axis CNC Production Operator to join our team and play a critical role in producing high-precision components. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and hands‑on experience operating advanced CNC machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and monitor 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture precision parts to specification
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job
- Load, edit, and verify CNC programs as needed
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections using measuring tools and equipment
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct routine maintenance and ensure machines are operating efficiently
- Collaborate closely with engineers, programmers, and team members to improve processes and outcomes
- Proven experience operating 5-axis CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with quality inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.)
- Strong problem‑solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Zimmermann 5‑axis CNC machines (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
- Background in precision machining, aerospace, automotive, or similar industries
