Quality Inspector - Part 145 repair station

Reporting to the Quality Manager, The Quality Inspector ensures that all work performed on the Aircraft and its components comply with Repair Station, Manufactures, Customer, FAR, and airworthiness requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper execution of the prescribed FAA forms for major repair or major alteration.
- Ensure that all inspections are properly performed on all
completed work and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by the Repair Station are properly executed prior to releasing the product for return to service. - Ensure that all maintenance is performed in accordance with generally accepted industry standards and maintenance practices, appropriate FAA regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations, and the operator’s manual determining parts Certification and serviceability.
- Assist in Repair Station training and Training Records
- Perform aircraft area and panel closeouts.
- Ensure proper execution of FAA Form 337, 8130-10 and 8110.
- Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspection of all articles processed by the Repair Station.
- Ensure the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in the Repair Station / Quality manual and final disposition of rejected parts.
- Ensure that incoming and outgoing aircraft records are complete and accurate.
- Perform weight and balance computations.
- Compliance in obtaining STC or Field approvals.
- Work order review
Job Requirements:
- Holds an Airframe and Powerplant license.
- IA-FAA certification- PREFERRED
- Must be knowledgeable of the applicable Manufacturer maintenance manual, company operations specifications, FAR, and applicable portions of the company operations and maintenance manuals.
- Have a minimum of four (4) years on Rotorcraft.
- Have previous experience in a 145 Repair Station.
- Must have experience on Bell, Airbus, and Leonardo Helicopters
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma, and Lean Logic is a plus.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Be available to travel as required.
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and set priorities.
- Versatile, open, resourceful, and autonomous person who enjoys working in a team.
- Skilled communicator and active listening skills.
- Commitment to airworthiness and quality of aircraft parts approved for return to service.
