We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that support customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and material availability. This role partners with Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory, and Customer Service to ensure efficient production flow, on-time delivery, and continuous operational improvement.
This role supports Operations and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules.
- Review customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity to establish achievable schedules.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure material availability.
- Release and prioritize work orders to support production.
- Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans to address changing priorities.
- Identify production constraints and recommend solutions.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Inventory, and Customer Service to resolve scheduling issues.
- Maintain accurate planning data within the ERP/MRP system.
- Monitor production performance and prepare operational reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning efficiency and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Minimum 3 years of production planning or production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
- ASCM/APICS CPIM certification, preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experienced in utilizing Microsoft Dynamic 360, preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field.
- Experience in electrical manufacturing, transformers, switch gear, wire harnesses, cable assemblies, or OEM manufacturing.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
