We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience operating and programming CNC machines, with preferred familiarity with Zimmermann high-speed milling machines
. This role requires a detail‑oriented professional capable of producing precision components while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

• Operate, set up, and monitor CNC milling machines
  , with a focus on Zimmermann portal/gantry milling systems
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to determine machining requirements
• Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code/M-code) for complex part geometries
• Perform tool selection, tool changes, and offsets to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Conduct first‑article inspections and in‑process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Identify and resolve machine faults, tooling issues, and program errors proactively
• Perform routine maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams for scheduled servicing
• Maintain accurate production records
  , inspection logs, and machine utilization reports
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and procedures
• Collaborate with engineers, quality teams, and production planners to meet delivery targets
• Mentor and support junior CNC operators as needed

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Technical/Vocational Certificate or Associate's Degree in Machining Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred)

• Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred 5+ years)
• Demonstrated experience with 5 Axis machining
• Preferred experience with large‑format or gantry‑style CNC milling machines
• Strong knowledge of CNC control systems

• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
• Ability to machine a variety of materials including acrylic.
• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters

• Direct hands‑on experience with F. Zimmermann milling machines (e.g., FZ Series)
• Experience in aerospace

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement (Kaizen, 5S)

• Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced pro
