CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room | Grand Prairie, Texas

Step into a dynamic cardiovascular operating room environment and provide exceptional care as a Registered Nurse specializing in CVOR. You'll work alongside a dedicated surgical team, supporting patients through intricate procedures in a modern operating suite featuring 10 ORs. This opportunity is contract-based and offers the chance to build your expertise in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• Call responsibility: 4-6 shifts per month
• Weekend and on-call rotation required

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with completed Peri Op 101 program
• Demonstrated experience in orthopedic and trauma cases
• Excellent assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment

Preferred Experience:

• Recent cardiovascular OR nursing experience
• Comfort with a wide range of surgical cases and ability to adapt to evolving demands

Responsibilities:

• Circulate and scrub for CVOR cases, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow staff to optimize surgical outcomes
• Support seamless patient transitions through pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases
• Maintain meticulous documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Uphold all infection control protocols and adhere to facility guidelines and dress code (scrub attire)
