Description

As the Metrologist Sr within the Calibration Laboratory team, you will lead calibration activities that guarantee the reliability of critical equipment across the organization and ensure compliance with AS9100D and internal quality system requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain measurement processes for dimensional, force, temperature, pressure, and electrical instruments.
  • Plan and execute calibration schedules and perform uncertainty analyses.
  • Lead investigations of out‑of‑tolerance findings and drive corrective actions.
  • Document results ensuring traceability and compliance with AS9100D and ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Support continuous improvement through method validation, equipment upgrades, and automation.
Basic Qualifications
  • U.S. citizen; must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a metrology or calibration environment.
  • Formal training in a related field.
  • At least two years of hands‑on calibration experience in a laboratory environment.
Desired Skills
  • PMEL, TMDE, or Metrology training.
  • Proficiency with calibration software.
  • Solid understanding of measurement uncertainty concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
Security Clearance Statement

This position requires a government security clearance, and the candidate must be a U.S. citizen. Clearance level:
Secret.
