Program Quality Engineer
Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated and driven Program Quality Engineer for a position based in Grand Prairie, TX. You will be the Quality Engineer Senior for the ATACMS team. What you will be doing as the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for interfacing with Production, Shop Floor Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering, investigating non conformance issues, organizing and tracking hardware quality audits and FAIs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Interfacing with Production, Shop Floor Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering and customers.
- Leading investigations of non conformance issues and providing technical data and analysis to support engineering investigations and root cause/corrective preventive actions.
- Driving closure of non conformance reports, and contributing to Corrective Action Board meetings.
- Engaging in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
- Organizing and tracking Hardware Quality Audits (HQAs) and First Article Inspections (FAIs).
- Participating in product, process, and surveillance audits/assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
- Leading corrective/preventive actions based on findings and look ahead activities.
The position requires previous quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the development of manufactured and procured products. The individual should be a self-starter, with an attention to detail, who can work autonomously with minimal direction in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- STEM degree in Bachelors or higher, or equivalent experience
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Experience solving complex problems associated with the quality of products and in Quality Management processes / capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Skills:
- STEM degree in Bachelors or higher preferred
- Previous quality experience in reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming Material (Material Review Board)
- Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification or ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
- Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
- Effective communication skills - written, oral, listening, and presentation
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills
- SAP / ERP, SharePoint and Tableau or other business intelligence software experience
- Strong familiarity with Production Operations
- Experience with Program Office / Customer Interaction, preferably DOD
- An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with Technical Operations, Manufacturing, and all other stakeholders

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. - Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
